Lovers of space, stars and planets will find delight in a visit to the Taipei Astronomical Museum (TAM). The museum was first opened in 1996 with the aim of educating the general public of astronomy through various stimulating and exciting ways. TAM’s exhibit halls are divided into several sections that allow visitors to learn about our home planet- Earth, the solar system, constellations and size of the universe. Each of these sections consist of different learning activities and interactive multimedia displays making the learning journey fun-filled for visitors of all ages. Another feature of TAM is the ‘Cosmic Adventure’ in which visitors ride on a spacecraft through a 200-metre track with films, lightings and special effects to experience life-like travelling through space.
