Sicao Green Tunnel 四草綠色隧道 is essentially a canal constructed nearly two centuries ago which was previously used to transport salt and its byproducts to and from the drying fields and storage areas.
Hop onto a raft and enjoy a relaxing ride through the dense mangrove forest which compromises of a relatively huge variety of plant species found in Taiwan that acts a natural shield against the sunlight for visitors.
Try spotting the little creatures such as little crabs and mudskippers who are home to and roam around freely in this natural wetland.
Ps: do beware of “over friendly” branches who may reach way beyond to pat you on your head.
