About

As the Qing government opened several ports to facilitate trading back in the 1900s, Dongyong lighthouse 東湧燈塔 was created by British engineers as a beacon of light to guide the ships safely back to harbour.
Dongyong lighthouse is constructed of bricks using 19th century architectural style and is painted entirely white with a black roof and unlike traditional lighthouses, it doesn’t not carry the international color of red to signify danger. Sitting calmly at the top of a cliff facing the gorgeous deep blue east sea below, one would not be able to miss its presence.
At 14.3 metres tall, Dongyin lighthouse signal to its locals is a 3 times flash every 20 seconds.
Gorgeous white Dongyong lighthouse against the clear blue skies above or crystal clear water below, it is definitely a place worth visiting with your loved ones.
