Guanyin Bridge 觀音吊橋 located within Puli township, Nantou County, Taiwan is an attraction by itself enroute to the magnificent Guanyin Waterfall 觀音瀑布.
Guanyin bridge is a drawbridge suspended across the raging river from the highway which provides a picturesque view of the mountains afar and river below for the brief 10 – 15 minutes walk across and it serves a greater purpose than its nondescript outwardly appearance by being the important linkage for visitors to reach the bottom of Guanyin Waterfall 觀音瀑布, which probably does not look as amazing from that angle. Guanyin waterfall is a pretty reachable attraction that doesn’t require much effort to hike or anything and is undisputedly the highest waterfall standing at 40m which is pretty famous as well. Take a short hike up the steep flight of stairs to reach the lookout area where Guanyin waterfall can be viewed in all its glory, a series of narrow, long, small waterfalls cascading gently down and culminating into a larger waterfall which pools together at the bottom. Spend some time to enjoy this beauty of mother nature.
