Taking THSR is different from taking the Metro in Taiwan
There’s a timing for each individual THSR so it be good to check out the time table before you purchase your ticket for a smooth journey.

THSR Regular Ticket
You will be able to purchase the tickets via the following:-

THSR Pass
You will be able to purchase the pass via the following:-
- Your Local Reseller – Click here to check your local reseller in your country
- Online Booking – Click here to book your THSR Pass online
Upon purchasing your THSR Pass, you will be issue a certificate number. Present your Passport and the certificate number at the THSR Station Ticket Counter in exchange for your THSR Pass Booklet.
Lost and Found
Passenger will be able to inquire about lost property over at the Passenger Service Counter at any THSR Station.
Passenger will require to fill up the “Lost & Found Property Inquiry Form”
The station will inform you once your property is found.
The found property will be kept on file in the station where it’s being found. If the owner does not reclaim the property within six months, the person who lost the item shall lose ownership of the lost property.

Things to take note for Locker usage
- The service hours are the same as the station operation hours (except Tamsui Station).
- The lockers are coin-operated and generate a single-use electronic PIN. Usage under one hour is considered as one hour.
- No perishables, flammables and dangerous substances are allowed in the lockers.
- A maximum rental period is 24 hours. After 24 hours, the PIN will become void and the items will be removed by the locker company to another location and stored for a maximum period of 30 days, for which storage will be charged at the rate of the locker fees. Items not retrieved within 30 days will be disposed. For more information, you call the locker company on +886-2-2725-3996.

This area is constantly monitored and activity is recorded through surveillance cameras. It is also subject to enhanced patrols. Intercoms are available so that passengers may contact station staff directly.

To recover lost property, inquiries can be made to the TRTC by filling out a request form at any MRT information counter or at the Metro Lost and Found Center, or by calling the 24 hour Customer Service at 886-2-218-12345.

Taxi
Taxi is easily accessible around the different cities in Taiwan. Like most country, the price fare is charge basing on the Taxi Meter once you hop into the taxi. Different City in Taiwan are charge differently but the difference won’t be huge. For long distance journey that are not within the city, it will be good to discuss with the Taxi driver on the charges for the trip and their availability.
Here’s an estimation on how Taxi Fare are being Calculated in Taipei?
First 1.25km will be NT$70
Subsequent 200m will be NT$5
After 12am, an additional of NT$20 is chargeable
Long Distance Journey not within the City
It will be good to make plan and discuss with the driver on their availability and the charges for the trip.
Airport Pickup/Send Services
A one-way taxi fare between Taoyuan airport and Taipei will cost between NT$800 – NT$1200 from the airport. Airport taxis charge according to the meter in addition to a 50% surcharge (highway tolls not included).

Due to the increase of motor vehicle on the road that cause traffic congestion, taking public transport such as MRT and Public Bus is strongly encourage in Taiwan. Other than traffic congestion, the air was polluted due to carbon emission from motor vehicle. Hence Ubike was introduce into the country as one of the environmental friendly public transport system in cyclist friendly Taiwan. Not only does it save time from the traffic congestion, the people save money on transport as the fee for renting a Ubike is relatively low. Cycling at the same time is also a good form of exercise.
